The current Governor of Enugu State (Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi) has announced a scholarship scheme that would see 340 would be Engineers granted free tuition for four years of study at one of two higher education institutions in Enugu State. The announcement came during his speech at the Institute of Management and Technology on 31 May 2018. The award is open to students who want to study any Engineering programme at either Enugu State Polytechnic, Iwollo or Institute of Management and Technology, Enugu. At least 20 grantees would be selected from each of the 17 Local Government Areas within Enugu State.
