Applying for funding


Step 1. FINDING THE RIGHT FUND

We strongly recommend that you look through the ‘Our work in Nigeria ’ link to check the various grants available. You also need to check the news feeds to see if the grant of your interest is open for application.


Step 2. ONLINE GRANT APPLICATION

Click the ‘Apply now’ button on this page and select the fund that best fits your purpose. You will be presented with an application form.


Step 3. COMPLETING YOUR APPLICATION

Please provide all relevant information in your application. To prevent formatting problems, avoid using bullet points.

You cannot save your incomplete application and return to it so we strongly recommend that you type your responses on a word document and paste them onto the application form.

For your convenience, you can access PDF versions of the application forms via the ‘Application PDFs ’ link on this page. Please note that the PDFs are for guidance only, and you must submit your application via the online application process. Please do not send us the PDF document via e-mail or post.


Step 4. SUBMITTING YOUR APPLICATION

Once you have completed your application, please click Submit to forward your application for consideration.

You will receive email confirmation that your application has been received by Dr Nonso Nnamoko Foundation.


Step 5. STAY UP TO DATE

You will receive update about your application via email. Please follow us on Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Youtube and/or Twitter to receive updates about upcoming grants and events. You can also share and/or like our posts to reach other people who may be interested.

WHERE CAN I FIND INFORMATION ABOUT THE GRANTS AVAILABLE?

We offer grants under 4 strategic themes – Education, Training, Technology and Youth Engagement. Each strategy has its own page, with detailed information about individual grants available.

HOW CAN I FIND OUT WHEN GRANTS OPEN?

Grants under the Education and Training strategies are open almost throughout the year. While waiting for others to open, you can follow us on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and/or Youtube to get up-to-date information about our grants and openings. We also recommend visiting the news link on our website regularly.

I SUBMITTED AN APPLICATION BUT HAVE NOT HEARD FROM YOU

We aim to process all application within 60 days of the submission deadline. If you have not heard from us after this period, please assume that your application has been unsuccessful. While we try to contact everyone about our decision, it is not always possible especially when we receive high volumes of application. Please contact us at info@dnnfoundation.org if you need further information.

HOW WILL I KNOW IF MY APPLICATION IS SUCCESSFUL?

Successful applicants will receive notification via email. The email will include details about what to do next in order to access the fund.

HOW WILL I RECEIVE MY GRANT IF SUCCESSFUL?

To ensure that applicants use our grants for the purpose stated, applicants may be required to show further evidence before funds are released. For example, applicants applying for grants for examination registration may need to pay and provide receipt before we release the funds. Each grant is processed differently, and detailed information about the procedure would be made available at application stage.

CAN YOU SEND ME A PAPER COPY OF THE APPLICATION FORM?

For your convenience, we have provided PDF copies of the application forms. Please note that these are for guidance only. We can only accept applications submitted via the online application process. Note also that the questions in the online application form may have been updated since the PDF documents were produced.

DO I HAVE TO COMPLETE THE APPLICATION FORM IN ONE SITTING?

Yes. You cannot save and come back to your application at a later time.

WHEN I COPY AND PASTE TEXT INTO THE FORM, I HAVE EXPERIENCED FORMATTING AND TECHNICAL PROBLEMS. HOW CAN I PREVENT THIS?

Before copying text into the form, first paste the text into either Notepad (Windows) or TextEdit (Mac) to remove unwanted formatting. We also strongly suggest that you avoid using bullet points and other similar design elements.

COULD YOU HAVE A LOOK AT MY APPLICATION BEFORE I SUBMIT IT?

No. Dr Nonso Nnamoko Foundation can only see an application once it has been submitted.

HOW WILL I KNOW THAT MY APPLICATION HAS BEEN SUBMITTED?

After you have submitted an application you will receive a confirmation email. We recommend that you keep this email for your records.

CAN I EDIT MY APPLICATION AFTER IT’S BEEN SUBMITTED?

Unfortunately an application cannot be edited after submission. You will have to resubmit the application. To void the submitted application please contact us via email at info@dnnfoundation.org with your details and let us know that you would like to withdraw the application.
